Pekin Main Street Super Cruise

The dates are set July 30th and 31st. Friday night will be a true cruise around town with a stop at some local businesses. There will also be a bike show on Friday night and a live band on both days. Saturday will be the car show as usual. Except that we have blocked more streets and have include 2 more large lots downtown.

We are advertising this as a multi-state event and we are planning on the numbers to grow over the last few years. If anyone here is interested in setting up a booth or etting on on the cruise let me know.

We are having monthly meetings and our committee is growing. My personal goals for this event is to get the size of the old Street Machine Nationals. I know that sounds like a big goal but why not! We have full city backing and have started advertising it nationally.

It is also set up so that east coasters on their way to Sturgis can stop through on the way!!

We are looking for volunteers and any help is much appreciated! This is the chance to put Pekin on the map and have something real cool in our area!!!!

I know that some here are on other websites and any spread of the word would be great!!!!!

Last year we had over 800 cars of all types!!!

We have already had 2 meetings and have had great response from sponsors and the city is giving us there full backing. We are gonna cruise up Court across Veterans and down Broadway....The bike show looks like it will go in the lot beside the bar!!!

WE have lofty goals, but we are shooting for 10,000 cars within 3 years....may have to expand to the park and the riverfront!

Ive been wanting to go to this event for several years, but it always falls on the same date as the co. fair demo derby. My buddy from pekin was telling me all about it, sounded like a blast.

I'm not even sure what you tried to type up there but in the parking lot alone by us it was full of at least 30-40 sport compact cars.

A sport Compact car even won one of the give aways from CSS last year as well..

All cars will be more than welcome. This is not a territory battle. We are looking to put on a good show for everyone! This is the chance to have something really big here in Central Illinois. With enough help and spreading of the word we can get this show to the level of a national show.
