What kind of shareware do you guys use?
Currently I am using Ruckus I like it but its a hassle to move songs to CD's or an Ipod.

Limewire. Free, (Supposed to be) totally legal, easy to install and manage

Limewire is very good. There is the basic free version which works just fine and then there is a version that you can pay for thats supposed to be better but I doubt its worth it.
You can actually run a search for the paid program on the free program and download the paid program for free I just haven't seen a need to do that.

i used the turbo version and it actually downloads really quic, its supposed to hop onto other peoples downloads to make the process quicker? so if 20 people are downloading the same song its 20x as fast i think. but it is faster

limewire pro - older version, but i have the install file, so it works good for me..
stationripper - rips streamed audio like shoutcast streams into seperate mp3s
dvd decrypter
dvd shrink
ewido - spyware prog
project 64 - n64 emulator
gens - sega emulator
snes9xw - snes emulator
weatherbug
ulead photoimpact 6 - full version
winamp and sonique
mozilla
maxthon - tabbed browser built on the explorer code or somethin. mozillas better i think..
waker 97 - alarm clock prog that opens files thru winamp, or plays a cd, at the specified time
anybody wants the install for any of them, lemme know. i have most of them, but prolly not the maxthon or mozilla, the others that are readily available.

I like Ruckus cause I can download a whole c.d. in less than a minute. That and when you type in a band it brings it up by c.d. with being able to download almost all songs, very few you can not get. The only downside is they have DRM's which are just hassle to get around to move to CD's.

i dunno, is it possible to post executable files on here? if not i can email what u want to ya. if u have a 360, the wired controllers will also hook up to a usb port on a computer and xp recognizes them, so u can config them to the games. :) plus if u do searches, u can find sites that have hundreds of games, all for free.

limewire ftw
just got rid of bearshare and went to limewire....10X better so far.
Only thing, I've heard that a lot of people move all their songs out of the limewire "library" and keep them in a seperate folder to be on the safe side. How do you do that without deleting the song?

just find the file location and move it to another folder.

You should have a folder called shared in you "My Documents" folder. Move them from there. Plus in the options menu you can tell the program you don't want to share files. I do both of those. I also have about 55gig of music also.
well I dont use that shared folder in the first place. During the install I changed the spot its supposed to save my music to a different folder in my documents...is that the same thing?

Yes its the same thing. It looks directly for the folders that have music, video, images, and programs in. So your best bet would be to go into options and delete the folders listed in the program that Limewire found that has music.

:irked: :12:
That is just wrong, flat out wrong. If you are ok with stealing the files, you should be ok with hosting them as well. You don't have to host all of them but if you're not helping the network, you're hurting it by clogging bandwith.
You should share out about 200mb or so, just a couple of albums that you know are hard to find and aren't mainstream bands. Those are the people that can benefit from peer-to-peer music sharing by helping spread their name. When my band first recorded a CD, before anyone bought a copy, we threw it on napster (at the time they were around and in full swing) in case someone downloaded us by accident (or on purpose :D)and discovered that we were actually dang good!

Never said I don't share. I just said I tell it not to share from my puter. If someone I know is looking for something I will share but I'm paranoid about someone download from my machine. I know that sounds stupid becasue I download from others but I know I'm not going to try and screw up there computer.
