Im Looking to install a set of Fog lights on a 2001 Silverado 1500.
I want this to be a semi professional looking job with a switch ran all the way up to the dash.

I dont wanna do the "get it by til..." job of hard lining it to the battery and running the wire to the switch.
So if i want to do this the right way, how would i run the wires?

I've never even thought about attempting electrical shit on anything. Just want to do a good job.

Just buy the parts and pay me $40 to do it and drop it off and pick it up when I am done.. That is your best bet..

All you need to do is buy all of the oem relays and switches then just look at the helms manual.

Just give the front a good look over, sometimes the harness has a plug for the oem foglights...you just have to find the plugs behind the bumper, and the plug for the switch up in the dash.

Go to neals or your favorite salvage yard. Look in some of the mid to late 90s vintage GM cars for their seal relays. Bonnivilles have the mother load. Find one that is sporting 10-12 AWG on the power side, and cut as much of the wire lead on the connector as you can find. Read through the following to get familiar with how relays work.

find a good single pole switch. Run GND to the switch and then a wire from the switch to the coil side of the relay. Then attach the other side of the relay coil to a switched 12V power source. Next run a fused 12V from the battery to the relay power side, and then to the lights. THat would be the most robust way I can think of without getting into multiplexing solution from littlefuse and what not.
