Anyone actually playing PS3?

Not sure if anyone else has a PS3 on here, but if so, what games are you playing and what do you like/dislike........

So far I have need for speed carbon and resistence.........Both seem pretty cool so far. The NFS game is pretty entertaining, and I havent gotten into resistence yet but its supposed to be the killer app for PS3 right now, so I figured I'd check it out

I had 2 wii's and a friend got one also.....we opened his up and played on it. I havent played any of the 'good' games on it (Call of duty 3, etc) but I did play Wii sports (comes bundled with the Wii) It was fun but I could see it getting boring quickly (the games were not in depth at all)

The baseball game I found entertaining though. You hold the controller just like a regular baseball bat. You can wave the controller around and every motion you do with the controller, the game mimmicks it (kinda like how ken griffey jr waves his bat around in the air while he's waiting for the pitch - you can do that)

There was also a 2 player boxing game, you have the Nun-Chuk controller in your left hand and the regular controller on your other hand, and you basically air-box with the controllers. You'll be sweating after 5 mins of playing, lol

yeah thats what i thought...hopefully the games get more advanced as it gets older

I got a wii yesterday. It's alot of fun. Tennis and boxing are great. Wii sports wasn't supposed to be an in depth game, it was designed to show off the basic functions of the wiimote. My dad came by yesterday and I told him I got a Wii. He played the bowling game, his real life average is 144, his wii sports average after 3 games, 144. Baseball was the least entertaining.

I also bought Zelda, and so far it seems to be a good game. Keep in mind though that I haven't played any video games really since SNES came out, with the exeption of the PS 1's Grand Turismo's. So, I consider myself a gaming newb.

The only reason I bought the wii was so I could down load the NES/SNES/Nintenod 64/Genisis/Turbo Graphics 16 games, and use it when people come over for "game" nights.

I saw that sonic the hedgehog 1 was available for download already, that would be sweet!

However I had the Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube when I had it, and from my understanding, all gamecube games can be played on the Wii

Tony Hawk project 8 is pretty sweet, So is Tiger Woods on the ps3

I would have picked up Tiger 07 on PS3 but I already bought it for xbox and have it beaten already, lol

I played a PS3 at Target.
Its pretty cool.
Played Motorstorm.
The graphics arent what I had expected...but then again it is a launch game.

I would still sell my soul for one.

PS3 games are 60, just like xbox 360 and wii games.....

I dont know if the FF game is more expensive because it has alot more stuff with it, but all the regular games are 60 bucks

And I suspect PS3 will be 600 bucks (60gb) for more than a year. They dont have any more systems coming out to compete with to justify a price drop. 360 has been out a year and a few months and hasnt price dropped as well.

no, but sony needs to match the competition, just like the companies always do. thats why even tho the xbxo is better than the ps2 theyre the same price.

FF13 is expected to be 80 from what I've read...

And I think post-holiday declines in sales for the PS3 will bring a price decrease, just my opinion

nah, since they wont be able to meet demand till about march, by new years they wont have as many PS3's out as Wii's were sold in the first week

Hell Nintendo was expecting to sell more Wiis in the first few months than the 360 did in a year.

yeah the 250 pricetag on the wii is helping it sell quite a bit

Parents are seeing it as a less expensive option, not to mention more readily available
