i was looking for a set of universal component cables for my 360 and ps3. found a set of 4 in 1 cables on ebay for $9.99 with free shipping. i asked the seller a few days ago if the connection for the 360 had the optical out for the audio. i didnt get a response back right away so i went ahead and bought the cables based off of the pictures in the auction. no where did it say any thing about a "sample" pic or any thing like that.

i bought the cables and payed for the auction the other day. today i get an email saying that the 360 connector does not have the optical output on it. here is the picture that i based my purchase off of.

if you look close you can see the optical out on the 360 connection. now im waiting for a response back from the seller after i pointed it out in his auction.

If he wont give you your money back notify ebay that the item pictured wasn't what was going to be sent and go about it that way. Actually paypal would be the people to get your money back from. They should give you your money back no questions asked.

hell, for $7 its still a good deal. i dont see any reason why the 360 connection wouldnt have the optical. either some one at that place doesnt know what they are talking about or the cables are super shitty. even the cables we used to sell at bb had the optical as well as the ones sold at game stop.

if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck its probably a duck. the pic shown in the auction clearly show it has the optical out.

i guess im missing it here.. but if it has an optical audio out, how the hell is it converting it to an RCA audio on the other side? That'd be my first clue as to if it has it or not....

on the plug in for the 360 there is an optical out. you can run either the rca's OR the optical out. i want the optical out for the 5.1.

i have mine ran that way now. if i want to use the surround sound i use the optical. if the gf and son are sleeping ill use the rcas and have the audio play through the tv

it sure does look like it has an optical out on it... maybe the seller just doesnt know what an optical out IS and said no to be on the safe side? :dunno: like you said, not sure why it WOULDNT have one...

Could be a retarded dog... But even if it doesn't have the optical out, put it back on EBAY for $10 buy it now and put $5 shipping on it... double your money. Just ship it USPS.

i understand your thinking but why would some one pay $15 for a used cable when they can buy brand new for $9.99? it would make more sense for them to actually check the product before they even ship it then issue me a refund. product never leaves their hands and i get my money credited back.
