Ok, so this is the phone I have. E815 (http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:4vlwIy25qkgUKM:http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/143/204213143.jpg)

nothing special by any means. But it has taken a beating until this week when the antenna area broke. My signal strength is still good, but I figure it is only a matter of time.

The only thing I hated about this phone, is when I tried to have multiple ring tones, it got all screwed up and wouldn't ring half the time. It would SHOW and incoming call, but no sound.

So anyway, I am either going to have to go into Verizon and pay my 50 deductible to get one just like this, pay full price for a new one, or ebay one.

Suggestions? What are some good phones out there that wont cost me a mortgage payment? I do dig ring tones...but that is about is...

honestly, if you aren't into the texting, and are just looking for a solid phone--

the moto w315 is a good one. Moto's have GREAT reception. I dont like the razr's- they look too... eh.. cheap.. in my opinion. But the w315 a co-worker has and she has no problems with putting seperate ringtones for each person.

if you truely hate the bells and whistles of modern phones- but still want your ringtone options- try the "Verizon Wireless Coupe" it goes back to the roots of BIG number buttons.

but, neither of those have cameras on them. You might have to pay like.. 50 bucks to get a decent one with a camera- but any of the ones in that price range are pretty solid

i say LG VX8300 big display, easy to press buttons, good camera,

it's around 50 bucks now...with having the e815, you should easily be able to upgrade

and if they don't have that phone, theres the 8350 or 5400 out now too...both around 50 bucks if you are upgrading...also might wanna check to see if you are offered any discounts via employment (hint hint)

ya two handed ones suck for texting while driving lol

watch out if you do an ebay one. i did that and the day i got it the face cover came off (as it was being held on with clear packing tape). i'd throw ya my old razr but its for us cellular.

Not sure if it will work with your plan or not but I have had a lot of phones and by far my favorite which is the one i have now is the Razor. I love it. No dropped calls, great pictures, I can text with ease and it has blue tooth to work with my truck so I can talk, dial, and receive incoming calls hands free.

any of the ones under 100 with 2 year plan are probably going to do what you need them to do. I try to stray from Samsung phones... basically rule of thumb is-- moto has the best reception, LG has all the bells and whistles (with reception second to moto). Stay away from the KRZR, unless you have fingers the size of a sweat shop working 3 year old.

head over there and pick a few up to see how it feels in your hands, especially while tapping the keys. The trend nowadays is to make the keypad one single peice that you have very little defined edges between buttons... thus those of us with fat thumbs end up texting like dyslexics
